I am obsessed with trailers as a film genre in and of itself. I watch way more trailers than movies. There is something compelling about being able to tell a story in that short amount of time. I use this technique when trying to tell a story about user experience.
This video was released before we even released any code. We put it out as a teaser to test market reaction. Within four days we had broken all viewing records on the Autodesk Building YouTube Channel.
This more recent video highlights the use of the Apple Pencil in FormIt 360. In less than a week we had 80,000 views – breaking all records on the Revit Facebook page.
Over the past few years designing a highly interactive interface for a mobile product, I have found that screen recording of the simulator is not good enough – showing the hands are critical. I have refined a low-cost method of shooting myself (or others) using the app on a tablet.
